Our mission
Avery Andersen Foundation encourages the study of arts and sciences by rewarding people who devote themselves to Both.
Avery was the kind of kid who couldn't let opportunity pass him by. He wanted to experience everything this world had to offer and did his very best to embrace every opportunity. That often meant doing two things at once. For example, he could be found playing trumpet during half-time in his football uniform.
Over his short 20 years, Avery participated in a wide range of school and community activities. Some he joined at the urging of his parents, but most things he did because he didn't want to miss a thing.
Although he had a wide range of interests, one thing remained the same no matter what he was doing. The best part of any activity was the relationships he made along the way. Avery was not only interested in being part of it all; he wanted EVERYONE to be part of it all with him.
Avery Andersen Foundation celebrates Avery's legacy by rewarding people who devote themselves with enthusiam to arts and sciences while bringing everyone else along with them.
